I was really really tempted to skip this strip because... well, I hate drawing backgrounds. If there was a way to make a (good) comic where all of my characters live in the clouds or something else easy to draw, I'd probably do it.

But, I decided to force myself to draw backgrounds. Because A) the only way to improve is to practice and B) I thought some of you would like to get an idea of what Noreat's castle looks like.
So, you get to see the outside of his castle (part of his castle goes back inside of the mountain, by the way), his throne room, and the dining room. (Which are subject to much finessing... but you get the gist of it).

Hopefully the "blehh" backgrounds aren't too hard to endure. But hey! This one still ends in fluff.

...Noreat doesn't do understated.
