Couples: Aurora and Philip

*sigh* Sleeping Beauty is my all time favorite Disney movie. I think that if I were to watch it alone, I would weep because of it's beauty. My God, the effort and care and love that they put into this movie is just breathtaking. Oh, and of course, it's a very sweet story. :^3

How could you not fall for Prince Philip? He sings, he dances, he'd kill a dragon/sorceress for you... and he's the first Disney prince with a name. And Aurora? How could you not love someone so sweet? And her voice, my God. It is of the angels~~

Because Sleeping Beauty is my favorite of favorites, I put a lot of time and effort into this. Jeeze, it took me at least five tries just to get the my concept on paper, and then I took forever trying to get it as perfect as I could.
And then on the coloring, I took extra care to make it as perfect I could get it. Oh, and on the subject of the coloring, you might notice the extra detailing I did in the background (at least, I hope you notice, because I really did try to)...I did that to tip my hat to the amazingly detailed backgrounds in the movie.
Oh, and the leaves on the trees were done by my sister. She asked me if she could do them for me, and I said okay. She sometimes wants to do the most bizarre things for me. x__o; So the leaves are about 98% *zimeta08--I did do some tweaking to them just to make them fit in a bit better. C:

While working on this picture, I listened to Tchaikovsky's 'The Sleeping Beauty' (have I mentioned that it's just the icing on the cake that Disney used Tchaikovsky's music? Because it is). And what was strange about it was that I didn't image one of my own stories along with the music. That rarely ever happens--unless it's a song like 'Friend Like Me' from Aladdin, then my thoughts obviously stay to the subject matter. My thoughts kept going back to Aurora and Philip, no matter how hard I tried to think of my own characters. I think that proves just how much I love this movie.
BTW, while I was working on the other couples I've done so far, I also listened to their respective soundtracks.

Okay! Wrapping it up! I love this movie to pieces, and I tried my very best to pay homage to it. I don't know if I have, but I'm quite pleased with it. ^_^
