I have seen Death and it is DeviantART Eclipse.

I tried playing with it for like 10 minutes and I wanted to die.
Usually I get over updated designs pretty quick, but I don't know about this one.

You know one of the things I liked best about DA is that it was still like a website and not one of these mobile pieces of crap.

That being said I don't plan on going anywhere at the moment, and hopefully DeviantART will continue to allow us to switch back to the old design for a while longer.

FYI:

I draw comics! Read them?

:star::star: Write a Chronicle Contest! :star::star:

:star: Concept

As some of you know, me and my sisters, DrMistyTang and ratscout have been creating short stories for a little world we call “The Chronicles of Dru”. It’s a series made up of short stories that take place in a fantasy world.

We are looking for new Chronicles from different voices to include in our series! Your task for this contest is to write a short story (or even a poem) that could fit into this world. It's especially a good opportunity to writers who've always wanted to have something illustrated!

As a side note: If you're worried about not placing because you don't have the best grammar, don't sweat. Me and my sisters are looking for great stories--we can always assist you in editing if you win.

There is a small theme to this one, so make sure your read the "Rules section" thoroughly!

Write a short story for The Chronicles of Dru! This time we will have a little theme as outlined below!:

There is a strange and mysterious wizard who gallivants across Dru. His name is Belmarduk, and he is said to have fifty children, yes, fifty! And they're ALL DAUGHTERS! (and one son, but he's adopted).
Here's the man himself:
Belmarduk by DrMistyTang

Your duty is to write a short story about one of these fifty daughters.

RULES:

-- Your story must be under fifteen pages. (double-spaced, size 11 or 12 font)
-- Your daughter must be human.
-- Your daughter can be any age below 30. (We're going to say Belmarduk himself is at least 50)
-- You can draw up a design sheet for your daughter if you want, or simply describe her in your story.
-- Plot? Your plot can be anything you want! We only require that you mention somewhere that your girl is a daughter of Belmarduk, and give her a number, such as "the third daughter of Belmarduk"--something along those lines. And keep in mind his earlier daughters should be a little older. That's it!
-- For inspiration for your plot we highly recommend you glance at the "map", "countries", "people" and "magic" pages located at the top of this page.
-- Though your daughter must be human, if you're going to have a love interest, you can make it any Dru species--we have a lot, so be sure to look at that "people" page.
-- We haven't established much in Dru, as we only have a dozen stories so far, so feel free to expand on anything you find interesting on our "map", "countries", "people", and "magic" pages.
-- You do not have to include Belmarduk himself in your story. However, if you do want to, he is described as a quiet and mysterious fellow. He gets along with some of his daughters, and others... not so much.
-- You may have two entries.
-- We're unsure how many winners there will be at this point, but we're thinking two or three.
-- SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES HERE!

-- Other established daughters/and son: (feel free to mention or even include in your story if you wish)
Belmardina and her suitor, Blutgang by DrZime Belmardina, 40th daughter. Forced into marriage with the kraat king. Read The Tale of Belmardina here.
Nergis by DrMistyTang Nergis, 26th daughter. A witch/necromancer and Belmarduk's least favorite daughter. Read about Nergis in The Brothers and The Test.
Merric by DrMistyTang Merric, his only son (adopted). A selkie who Belmarduk has possibly nefarious plans for. You can read about Merric in The Mermaid's Folly

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DRU:

The following information is to help you write a story that will fit into our world of Dru.

:bulletpurple: Tone: Dru is usually lighthearted and fun. However, darker tales are also welcome. Part of the fun of Dru is the wide array of stories it can have! Adventure, romance, horror, comedy--all are welcome! Also, please glance through our established tales if you want some examples of tone (see the "archive" link at the top of the page).
All tales should be rated PG13.
The most blood you can describe are cuts with bleeding.
The most sex/nudity: cleavage is okay, but no nudity. Pillow talk is fine, but once again the bodies have to be covered.

:bulletpurple: Canon: We don’t have too much canon to go on since we only have about a little over a dozen tales up. This is a great time to add your own unique twists on magic and fantasy into this world. Again, we're looking for more voices to add to the color of Dru.

:bulletpurple: Established characters: We have several established characters for the Chronicles of Dru, and you are allowed to include them in your Chronicle (example: you want your character to have a chat with Wizard Woemfol)--however, they should only be in the background or side characters. We primarily want NEW creations! But if you choose to include one of the established characters, feel free to consult one of us if you're nervous about keeping them in character and such.

:bulletpurple: Aesthetic information: Dru is inspired by ‘80s fantasy movies like The Princess Bride, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Return to OZ, Willow, etc. And also B movies… which are hard to list because not a lot of people watch them. XD If you don’t get any of these references, no worries! Overall we want there to be a certain mood and air of charm or quirk to Dru. Just aim for whatever fantasy you like mixed with the information listed under “canon”.

:bulletpurple: Questions? : Like we said, we haven’t written too much for this series, so just scout about the Chronicles of Dru pages.

:bulletpurple: Other information: When starting, we suggest coming up with a simple idea that would be fun to explore based on the outlined countries and species of Dru and then flesh it out!

Examples: (feel free to steal these)

-- What if your daughter was allergic to magic?

-- What if your daughter is a baker who has to deliver a cake to the Dark Lord?

-- What if your daughter has to help a mouse cross the plains of decay?

-- What if your daughter only got one wish from a Genie?

So basically just go for it! Make some characters and an amusing story and have fun!

There will be two winners who will have their stories illustrated. We'll most likely do five five illustrations and a cover art for your story.

Examples of illustrations:

There will be no extensions. Use your time wisely!

:iconclara-01: Gallia the Gardener - EDITEDIn a village near Exup, lived Gallia, a young gardener with a reputed garden. It was situated in a large plot of land and covered in so many plants that no one could enter from anywhere else but the front door.
Gallia had inherited the garden from her noble mother, who had mysteriously disappeared during her search for Gallia's father, the wandering wizard Belmarduk. Despite being his 33rd daughter, Gallia had few of her fifty (and one adopted) siblings' qualities. She wasn't considered pretty, for despite her bright green eyes, her skin was tanned and coarse from sunburns, her absurdly long, auburn hair was messy and sprinkled with twigs, and her hands were crusted with dirt. Except for a meagre ability to give warmth or dew to her plants, she could not perform magic.
She was, put simply, an ordinary human girl. That being said, the garden she kept was not so ordinary; it was filled with the rarest, most potent and useful plants that magic users from all corners of Dru sought. She pri

:iconsadstrawberrie: Josephine, The Fourth Daughter of Belmarduk Where the Sea of Dru met the Land of Eledus and a few miles from the border of The Plains of Decay was a very small swamp hidden from the world. Not many would notice it was there if they walked right by it, mostly because she didn’t want anymore without a specific purpose to notice. Her name has only been felt by the mouths of few, and the rare legend about her dubs her only Lady of Bog. It was a great pride to her to be known as Lady of Bog, it was much much better than the days before she made the swamp her home, when her mother would parade her from banquite to banquite. “My daughter is Josephine the fourth daughter of Belmarduk. She was favored by her father from birth. It’s no wonder, for eventually any man or woman would run out of love before it could reach all 50 daughters and one son?” Josephine would roll her eyes and wander off to some quiet corner before the second part of her introduction. It didn’t even make sense that her mother would find such pride in having a ‘daughter of Belmarduk’. It wasn’t necessarily a good thing. “Oh and she is not without magic, I dare say she inherited all of her father's talent. It is no wonder I gave birth to the best daughter of Belmarduk.” It really is no wonder why the rest of her sisters hate her. How could they not? Her mother’s bosting was loud enough to reach even the furthest ears; it was no wonder every citizen in Dru had a sour impression of her. “So you are the great fourth daughter of-” she stuck her hand out before the voice would finish, only to quickly pull away as he hand met the snout of a crocodile. “Oh, pardon- pardon me!” she felt rude to stare but it was hard to look away. They stood on two feet and she had the impression they were very tall but hunched over they only measured to her shoulders. Large spines traveled down their back and along their tail in pairs, their scales were grey and green with moss growing in between. They wore row after row of heavy beads and crystals, pouches made from twine hung around their shoulders. A thin veil covered their eyes so it was hard to tell if the smile that exposed jagged teeth was senistor or not. A strange air hung around the crocodile, it made her feel the need to sneeze but never enough for her nose to follow through. “Ah, you must be shocked by my appearance being at such a venue. I do admit I do not preen my scales as I should, and I haven’t the heart to remove the moss and insects that have chosen me as a home.” The crocodile seemed bashful but not at all apologetic. “Call me Chrys. It’s short for Chrysanthemum, I chose it one summer when I found such a flower alone in the middle of my swamp.” they offered her their clawed hand, slightly twisted from age. Josephine took it, slightly amused how her smooth hand fit in the snarled talons of this crocodile. “My name is Josephine, I’m pleased to meet you,” She smiled, as Chrys let go of her hand to lift up their vail and their sharp yellow eyes bore into hers. “I’m flattered you trust me with your name, trust is a promessing thing to have in your apprentice.” they finished with a grin. Josephine barked with surprise but composed herself before she drew too much attention to them. “Excuse me? I’m not your apprentice.” Chrys laughed a low chuckle straightening their back enough to meet her face to face. “Your father sent me, oh great fourth daughter of Belmarduk.” Josephine looked around to make sure no eyes lingered on them, a slight tremor of fear running through her fingers. “Whatever you or my father heard from my mother, it’s not true. I might be considered a wizard, but just barely. I only have a license due to my mother's connections and her talent to talk ears off. I haven’t even cast a spell in months.Chrys widened one eye moving in closer. Josephine flinched, not wanting her pitfulness to be so exposed. “So you can’t do magic?” They questioned, drawing out their voice. “N- no, I mean, yes I have the ability… that’s-” Chrys help up one claw to interrupt her. “So then I can still teach you. That’s all that matters. No need to look so disheveled.” they laughed, taking a step back. Josephine gulped, smoothing the front of her dress, as the crocodile looked thoughtful for a moment until realization washed over their face. “Ah, maybe you are unsure of my abilities! Here let me teach you a small spell-” Josephine reached out to stop them, but it was already too late. Chrys started speaking the spell under their breath and their claw suddenly lit up like a dozen fireflies. “Now this is essentially a parlor trick, it doesn't require much at all and is basically useless. However creative people always find ways for ‘useless’ things to be useful. Now- Are you okay?” Josephine nodded her head and tried to smile though her face started to turn a pale blue. Then the breath she held burst with a large AAAAAA-CHOOOOO Chrys looked at her slightly taken back, before a laugh escaped their snout. “My my…” “Jose?” She heard her mother's voice, followed by hurried footsteps. She rose her head, trying to tuck the strands of red hair that came loose from her braids back in. Her mother looked at her with a face mixed by worry and embarrassment. Josephine tried to smile before she was attacked by another sneeze. “It’s alright Mo- Mother- Ah- there must be- AH CHO- some - AH- dust -Ah- in the air- CHOOO!” She bent over to catch her breath as another onslaught of sneezes tore through her nose. “So, The Great and Talented Fourth daughter of Belmarduk Is allergic to magic.” she could hear the laughter hidden in Chrys voice, and her mother's sharp breath. She was suddenly pulled to stand straight up by her mother, still sneezing but her mother pretended nothing was wrong. “Mother,-” Josephine started but was quickly interrupted as the woman led her into the crowd. “Oh, Joesphine, I want to introduce you to Sir Garmalin, a Banker and a very handsome goblin. A promising husband, or a good friend at-” She broke away from her mother's grasp, stopping her mid-sentence. “Mom! It’s rude to ignore people!” She huffed, dragging her mother back to where Chrys still stood quietly laughing. Josephine sneezed once more as the last of the magic evaporated but smiled as she introduced her mother. “Chrys, this is my mother Lady Maylan. Mother, this is Chrysanthemum, a wizard sent to be my teacher by Father.” She whispered the last part directly in her mother's ear, and saw her face shift to a wide smile. “My! A friend of Belmarduk is a friend of mine!” She curtised, and offered her hand to the crocodile, who had a mild look of displeasure. “We, are not friends then it seems.” Her mother looked lost for a moment, before forcing a laugh. “Oh, oh ha, how.. Yes. Well, my daughter is not allergic to magic but she also is in no need for a teacher. Her brilliance shines on her own.” She could roll her eyes harder, Josephine would have. Chry rose her eyes in a look of mock surprise. “Ah, I see, Well this is no situation to properly discuss this, I’ll come by your home tomorrow morning so we can drink tea and see where your child's future may go.” And with that the crocodile spun around and disappeared into the crowd. Josephine flinched as she felt her mother's eyes turn to stab her. “Look- look, mom-” “Jose! Why were you over here alone? Why did you talk to someone who was so dirty and inappropriately dressed for a banquet like this?” Her mother looked behind them at the nobles and other rich guests of the banquet, clearly finding unwanted glances. “Please, for the rest of the evening, behave properly?” She took Josephine’s shoulder, pleading with her smile.Josephine hung her head, but nodded, looking up with the biggest smile she could muster as her mother guided her into the largest group in the room. “My only child and the fourth daughter of Belmarduk-” It wasn’t hard to again sneak away and hide near the buffet table. Such a strange person, and sent by her father which made her suspicious. She smiled, picking a pastry from a beautiful display. There was something about why Chrys looked at her, like she was powerful, like she could actually be a great wizard. Josephine and her mother lived in a fairly large manor with a beautiful garden in the outskirts of the Great Forest. It made Jose nervous being so close to such a potentially dangerous place, basically under the Dark Lord's nose, but it was affordable. No matter how unfortunate the location, nothing was to keep Lady Maylan from appearing noble and rich. On a normal day Josephine would be in the garden, sleeping or reading in the sun and avoid her mother to hopefully prolong the time she had between the next party. This was not a normal day, she was excited. She ran about the house, helping clean and set up for afternoon tea, there was a new viger in her after years of nothing finally something was happening. “If I didn’t know better, I would say we were preparing for a suiter based on that smile.” She smiled at Dendra, the head butler leaned against the window she was sitting in. His face was framed by a violet pansy, he was a fairy who escaped salvery, found work with her family and was now basically a part of her family. She hit his shoulder, shoffing. “As if. It just feels really good to look forward to something.” He smiled, nuzzling her hair with a fist. “Well it suits you. Go get ready.” She rolled her eyes but pushed off the window and headed to her room. There was a dress picked out by her mother on the bed, Josephine hesitated. If she was honest she hated dresses, they always tend to be too long for her short plump frame and she found herself constantly tripping over the hem. She hated the bright eccentric colors her mother always chose, it always made her bright red hair look outrageous and she knew if she just wore the simple tunic and trouser she gardened in she would feel and look much better. She sighed, deciding if she wanted her mom to even consider the apprenticeship, she should at least try and make her happy. She looked longingly at her gardening clothes as she changed into the lime green beast her mother chose. Chrysanthemum arrived slightly after noon, much to the Lady Maylan displeasure. “Welcome to our home, it’s a pleasure to host you.” Her mother smiled so wide her nose scrunched. “ Thank you,” Chrys said simply, lowering themself gently into the chair closest to Josephine. “I-” Josephine took a breath trying to calm down a bit. “I hope your way here was pleasant?” She smiled, offering them a cup of tea. They took it gingerly, careful not to scratch the proclin with their claw. “Thank you my dear.” They smiled but did not take a drink, just held it in their lap. Josephine sat back down with her own cup, and sipped the warm liquid as she looked from her mother to the crocodile. Her mother looked as conflicted as a mosquito on a tomato while Chrys looked totally at ease. “So, how will this apprenticeship work?” Josephine asked after her cup was empty and several minutes passed. Chrys smiled, lifting their cup to finally take their first sip. It became suddenly obvious why they hesitated to take a drink in the first place as most of the tea fell from her very long snout and made a puddle on the floor. Jose tried not to laugh, as she re-filled her own cup. “Would you like some more tea?” she offered as Chrys set their cup down on the table. They lifted a claw to politely decline, nodding slightly to the aghast look on Lady Maylan’s face. “As for your apprenticeship. You will come live with me in my swamp, learn to do all kinds of magic, and hopefully find a way to overcome your allergy.” With that Jose’s mother stood up, practically shaking with outrage. “There is no way you are taking my daughter to a- a swamp heavens KNOWS how far away from proper society. You would be taking away more opportunities from her then she would gain. There is-” Josephine stood up and rose her head high, though the look in her eye said anything but confident. “Mom. You told me everything Father does is special and important. He sent Chrys to be my teacher so it must be important.” She quickly sat down again, not able to look anyone in the eye. “So you want to leave me and go live in a swamp with a complete uncivilised brute!”Josephine sank in her chair, looking up at her mother and gulped. “Yes….?” Her mother hit the ground with a thud as she fainted. Josephine jumped up as Dendra rushed to the ladies side. She felt a claw on her shoulder and she looked up at Chrys who lifted their veil just enough to give her a wink. “Why don't we take a walk through the garden?” They smiled and started towards the back door. Dendra turned to her “Your mother will be out for a while. A walk would be good I think.” So Josephine glaced once more at her mother before running to catch up with Chrys. They walked for a few moments until they were deep in the foliage and could only see the glimpses of the house behind them. Chrys stopped and uncovered their eyes before letting out a loud laugh. “You have very unfortunate parents, my dear.” Josephine frowed but she couldn’t deniei it. “Yeah, and I, their unfortunate daughter has done nothing with her life.” “There is no need to be so melancholy. Your father has found a need for you, and paid me to rise you up until you can fulfill that need.” Chrys reached out and turned her head so their eyes met. “However, once I take a student I am dedicated to seeing that student thrive. No matter the reason I was inclined to take that student in the first place.” Josephine glared at them, “Don’t raise my hope. You can't expect me to do magic when every time I or anyone utters a spell I’m overcome with sneezing!” Chrys drew themselves up to as tall as they could, glaring down at her with a smile. “Ah yes, about that.” Within a second they drew something out of one of the pouches around their shoulders and shoved it in her face. Josephine landed in the rose bush behind her as a sneeze so loud and explosive sent her backwards. All she could do was warp her arms around her stomach and endure the onslaught of sneezes. Chrys chucked, offering their claw to help Josephine from the bush. “Ow. Why did you do that?” she sat on the path, rubbing her head as she felt a pulsing headache start. Chrys knelt in front of her, showing what they held. A small orange, kumquat. Jose frowned, and reached out to grab it only for Chrys to pull it away. “You don't want another sneezing fit do you?” they paused, smiling gently as the confusion deeped in Josephine’s face. “I’m sorry to confuse you my dear. I was testing out a theory. You see, Most wizards know that all magic produces the scent of Kumquats to some amount. The more powerful the spell, the more powerful the smell. You my dear, are not allergic to magic. You are allergic to the scent of kumquat.” Josephine felt her heart inflate in a strange combination of hope, excitement, bewilderment and fear. “So I can learn magic? If I figure out a way to stop smelling?” she sincerely hoped she didn’t have to cut off her nose. “I have another theory I would like to test along that topic. Would you like to try?” they tucked away the kumquat and took out two small clumps of moss. “It might seem unappealing to put these up your nose but they are cutting from the foliage of my swamp that I've carefully cultivated to block out specifically the smell of kumquat. So I'm hopeful it will have the same effect for you." Josephine eyed the moss suspiciously, but closed her eyes and shoved them up her nose anyways. It actually wasn’t unappealing, all she could smell was deep wet earth. I had a calming effect. “Now, I want you to try to cast the spell I did at the banquet.” Chrys smiled, and began to recite the spell again, with Josephine following each word. Her voice was nasally, and it caused her to stumble over a few words, but at the end of it, both her hand and Chrys claw light up with a dozen little fireflies. Josephine sneezed gently, but nothing like it was before. “I can't believe it!” She shrilled, laughing, launching herself to hug the crocodile. Chrys was tense for a moment and Josephine was worried she had crossed a line, when they gently patted her back before leaning away. “So,-” Josephine mumbled, blushing from her embarrassing outburst. “Can I become your apprentice?” Chrys chuckled, laying a claw on the girl's head. “You already are, my dear.” “Josephine! Your mother is awake!” She hear one of the servants call out to them, Jose stood up, plucking the moss from her nose as she ran back to the house. Chrys following behind. The Lady Maylan laid sprawled across a fainting couch, quickly fanning herself. When her eyes met Josephines she gasped, falling back on her pillows with large dramatic movements. “OH, my daughter who betrays me SO!” Josephine rolled her eyes, and fell to her knees in front of her mother. Swallowing her pride she took a deep breath. “Mother of mine, how could I have plited you so…. Thee who-” she grimaced, trying to find appropriately elegant words. “Thee who risked body and- and Limb! To see me into this life!” Her mother suddenly sat up, but turned her head sharpy away, only looking at Jose with a slight side eye. “So you’ve decided not to leave me?” Chrys chucked, causing Josephine to jump, not realizing the crocodile was right behind her. They lowered their vail and offered Jose a hand to help her up. “My dear, you do not need to grovel for your mother's approval.” The lady Maylan huffed, grabbing her daughter's arm tightly. “Who are you to say such a thing! I am her Mother!” “Yes, mom- Mother, you are.” Josefine tore her arm from her mother's grasp, standing up. “But this is my chance to learn something. To do something. Don’t you wish I was actually like the daughter you bost about so much?” her mother reached out and clasped both sides of her face in her hands. “You are the daughter I boast about. There is no one I am more proud of.” she smiled her pleading smile, but Josephine pulled away. “Surely you know ALL you bost about me is nothing but hyperbole! Do you not know who I am at all?” Jose could feel tears start to leak from her eye but she held them back as she held her ground. “You are my child! The fourth Daughter of-” “-Belmarduk?” Josephine finished for her. “That may be your only great accomplishment, mother.” she lean in close, letting her tears fall freely. “But it will not be mine.” Her mother again fainted, but Josephine walked past to give Dendra a big hug. “Watch over her for me ok?” He smiled, wiping a tear away with his thumb. “Of course, Josephine.” Chrys smiled down at her with a new expression she had yet to see the crocodile make. “Ready to go?” they asked, offering a claw. Josephine smiled back and took it. Josephine took only half an hour to pack a single bag, before running out to the front courtyard to find Chrys waiting for her. She knew her mother was watching her from the window but she did her best to ignore her. Chrys stood next to a wooden carven covered in as much foliage and insects as the crocodile themself. In fact it was hard to tell when the carven ended and when Chrys started. Pulling the cavern was two healthy looking hogs covered in wirey hair. Dendra ran out of the house to give her one last hug, but she could feel him tense at seeing the carven. “You sure this is what you want?” Jose smiled at her friend, “This is the most I’ve ever wanted anything.” He helped her climb up to the coach seat, Chrys hopping up to sit next to her with surprising dexterity. They offered her a smile, before sending the hogs running. Jose turned around to watch the house that was once her home fade into the horizon. “How far away is your swamp?” She asked once she sat down normally again. They chuckled, “That is a question that has multiple answers.” Jose frowned. “How so?” Chrys tugged at the reigns causing the hogs to make a sharp turn into the tree. Josephine screamed, grabbing whatever she could to keep from being flung off the caravan. It was all unnecessary as they gently glided to a stop in front of a very large tree. Chry laughed their loud laugh. “Where you scared my dear?” Josephine strighted herself up and held her chin high, but her voice betrayed her as she uttered a week, “......no…..” Chrys kept laughing as they jumped down, catching Josephine as she attempted to as well. They sighed, seeming somewhat uneasy. “What I tell you next, my dear, is critical that it never finds its way into another ear.” Josephine nodded, her words lost with the sudden serious air. The crocodile took a piece of chalk from under the couch seat and approached the tree. “I should tell you, before you start to learn this magic, you should decide a proxy name.” They began to draw on the trunk of the tree, every line they finished glowing a faint green. Joesphine felt herself instinctually step back. “Ru-” she quickly covered her mouth, before the rest of the words could meet the air. Chrys stopped to look behind them, giving her a small smile. “Rune magic yes, this is the true nature of your apprenticeship. Your father would never pay me to teach you simple magic, but not to worry I am one of the best teachers you could have hoped for” They chuckled before mumbling “for one, I’m not constantly drunk.” Josephine stomped closer, pacing as she tried to wrap her mind around what she was being asked to do. No, what she was being made to do. “He also paid you to kidnap me if I didn't complain, didn’t he.” Chrys shrugged, looking bashful. “That be as it may, would you really like to go back to your life of parties and nothing? Is a little illegal magic really all that scary?” Josephine looked down the path, imagining going back to that house giving up any hope of being special. She sighed, walking to stand next to Chrys. They smiled and started again. “Pay attention to every line I draw, every intention must be clear. I must make a doorway, a path and then I must cut that path until the distance is what I want. I have to make sure I’m painfully specific so we don’t end up ten feet underground or ten miles in the air.- oh you should put the moss in.” Chry paused so Josephine could take the moss out and do as she was told, then Chrys held out their hand and touched the rune. A burst of green plums and the intense smell of kumquat erupted around them , Jose felt her eyes water and let out a frew loud sneezes, but again the moss seemed to work. Chyrs put a hand on her shoulder, presenting the tunnel in front of them. “Well, my dear, walk this path with me?” Josephine gasped with awe, and all reluctance fell from her mind. In that moment she knew she wanted that power, she needed to feel that power in her own hands. “Absolutely.”...

Me and my sisters will soon be putting up our second ever Chronicles of Dru contest!
Basically, you will write a short fantasy story that can fit into our fantasy world of Dru (not difficult), and if you win, your wonderful characters will be illustrated!

I think we will start it this Friday or on the weekend. We figure it's a good time since everyone's self-quarantining themselves. (Not me. Someone's gotta take care of those spines!)

So, prepare! Go take a look around :iconthechroniclesofdru:, particularly the "People" and "Countries" pages. I'm sure you guys can think of tons of things to add.
