*sigh* I love Gargoyles. So, so much. It's one of my favorite TV shows of all time. Ever. Except for the third season, which I never really watched (only the first episode, because that's when Greg Weisman was still there).

Gargoyles is just way too awesome not to love. Well written, lovable characters, interesting and engaging plot, and magnificent character designs. Gargoyles is a very big influence for me. I... just don't express my love for it very often (bad Misty).
Elisa and Goliath are wonderful together. They're pretty darn high on my favorites list. The strong yet feminine lady, and the burly serious gargoyle. Brilliant!

So! About the picture itself. This actually came out somewhat close to what I had in my head. (The biggest difference being that my original concept was at a different angle.) It did take a while to sketch out, and to edit the sketch to get it to where it is now... but, that was not unexpected--it always takes me a long time to do anything even slightly dynamic. >:^P
The background was actually a collaboration between myself and my sister, *zimeta08. It was one of those random times she asked me if she could do the background for me. And, since I hate having to do buildings, I said okay. I did the sky, and that corner of a building in the front (the one made of stones), and I put in the basic shapes for the other buildings. Then, I let my sister take over and do the rest. She did all of the buildings, and she added in some extra stars. So, the background is about 60% *zimeta08, 40% me. C:
Oh, and I decided to try out the cel-shaded subject and painted background style again. I like it a lot.

I hate, hate, hate, night scenes. No, wait, let me rephrase that; I hate having to do night scenes--I pretty much always like how it turns out, I just don't like having to do them... they take forever for me to do. XP But, these guys didn't really leave me a choice in the matter--it had to be a night scene in order to do what I wanted. I couldn't very well have Goliath flying around during the day! XD

I've been trying to finish this for about two weeks. It's not that the coloring took longer than usual or anything like that, it's just that stupid crap kept getting in the way. >:^(
But at least it's done now. ^__^ And, regardless of its hiccups, I am quite pleased with this!
